Bob Hiltermann is a deaf writer and director, but also as an actor and musician, his life experiences figure greatly into all his work as a filmmaker. He wrote and directed the short, “This is Ed!!” which garnered 24 awards from film festivals around the globe, as well as Best Director nominations at the Atlanta Comedy Film Festival and the Shanghai International Deaf Film Festival. Musically, Bob is the drummer in the world’s only all-deaf rock band, “Beethoven’s Nightmare,” which has performed continuously since he and his bandmates first met at Gallaudet College (now University). He was a founding member of MUSIGN, a theatrical group combining music, dance, signing and acting, which performed internationally to rave reviews.  As an actor, he has appeared in TV shows such as “Blacklist,” “Hawaii Five-0,” “Cold Case,” and “All My Children,” as well as in the feature films “Children of a Lesser God” and “The Hammer,” & as himself in the documentary film “See What I’m Saying.” Bob was also a founding member of the Deaf West Theatre, which has received numerous awards and performed on Broadway twice. He has written multiple screenplays, with his most current projects being “Grateful Deaf” and “Fly Boy Fly”.
